Getting a user to enter payment details on an iPhone especially if the user is on the go can be difficult.
Here’s a library for scanning credit cards which has been available for some time, but has been recently open sourced by Paypal called Card.io.
Card.io scans credit card details automatically from the face of the card, and allows the user to fix any incorrect details through a simple interface. Card.Io is already used by a number of apps such as Paypal’s own, and Uber. Keep in mind that card.io is only a scanner, and you’ll need to attach it to a payment gateway.
Here’s a video showing Card.io in action:
There is also a Phonegap (Cordova) plugin.
A nice library for making it easier for the user to enter their payment info.
