A couple of weeks ago I mentioned an open source control inspired by the Chatheads found within the latest Facebook app.
Here’s another open source iOS project from Kenny Tran inspired by Facebook’s Home app for Android called Home for iOS. The goal of Home for iOS is to re-creates the features within the Home App using UIKit and the Facebook Graph API.
So far Kenny has Cover Feed, and the App Launcher mostly working, and here’s a video showing Home for iOS in action:
Note: I was able to get it working – and Kenny has already done some updates. From some feedback I’m guessing it may not work on non-iPhone 5’s at this stage.
You can find Home for iOS on Github here.
You can find Kenny’s development notes for Home on his site here.
A very nice example demonstrating how to create a Facebook app on iOS.
