Late last year I mentioned a user interface control that allowed you to create animated arrows that could be used to help guide new users to your apps called CEGuideArrow.
Here’s another excellent library that is great for guiding users through your interface called WSCoachmarksView from Workshirt.
WSCoachMarksView allows you to create coach marks to guide the user, you define an array of CGRects around the area of the user interface to highlight along with text to instruct the user, and WSCoachMarksView will automatically create your guide using the array.
You can choose when to start the coaching, and there are a number of other variables available for tweaking appearance.
Here’s a set of screenshots from the readme showing WSCoachMarksView in action:
You can find WSCoachMarksView on Github here.
A nice easy way to create an elegant guide for your app’s users.
