Open Source iOS Control Providing Keylines That Adjust Based On Device Tilt Like The Music App

Some time ago I pointed out an example showing how to make reflective metallic scrubbers like those found within the iOS music app.

Here’s a new control from Teehan Lax called TLTiltHighlightView that allows you to implement another interesting feature of the Music app’s interface.

Above and below the Music app’s scrubber there are two gradient keylines that adjust based on the tilt of the device.

Here are some images from TLTiltHighlightView’s example app showing the effect with the device flat, tilted left and right:

You can easily adjust the background and highlight colors.

You can find TLTiltHighlightView on Github here.

A nice subtle effect for augmenting interfaces.
