Sometimes it can be tough to get users to download the latest version of your app. I know that I find myself waiting until there are several updates waiting in the App store.
Here’s a handy little library from Handelabra Studio that you can add into your iOS apps that will check the App Store to see if a new version of your app is available, and if it is prompt the user with an alert to go download the new version. The user will only be asked once for each version.
You’ll need to use the library in an app that exists on the App Store as the iTunes search API is used, and the library automatically gathers your app info through the bundle identifier.
You can download HSLUpdateChecker through Github here.
A very simple way to get users to let users know about the latest version of your app.
