Open Source Library Providing An Elegant Map Kit Annotation Clustering Solution

A problem that can arise when annotating maps is that things can get quite messy when there are too many annotations on a section of the map.  This is where clustering comes in.

Map Kit map annotation is a topic that I’ve brought up several times, and earlier this year I mentioned a library for those looking to quickly make an annotated map with many basic features and some simple annotation clustering.

Today I came across a library that provides a very elegant solution to this issue providing beautiful annotations, and clustering similar to that done in Apple’s own apps called ADClusterMapView.

Here’s an image of ADClusterMapView in action in the developer’s Railtime app:

You can find ADClusterMapView by Applidium on Github here.

You can read more about ADClusterMapView on the Applidium blog here.

A very nice solution to the problem of clustering map kit annotations.
