Recording and editing video using AVFoundation can be extremely difficult.
I’ve been asked a couple of times about examples showing how to record video, and I typically point them towards Apple’s AVCam example, but haven’t come across anything until now that goes through the process of video recording, editing and saving in a step-by-step manner.
Here’s a tutorial that goes through the process of playing videos, saving videos to the library, joining separate video segments together and adding background music.
The tutorial is from Abdul Azeem and can be found here.
If you’re struggling through Apple’s massive AVFoundation documentation learning how to work with video you will definitely want to give this tutorial a look.
Update: If you’re just looking to add video recording into an app you might want to check out this library for easy video recording with AVFoundation.
