I’ve mentioned the Unity iOS game engine a few times, and although I receive a number of submissions related to Unity I only mention those that are most specific to iOS developers such as this series on making 2D games with Unity.
Today I came across another resource that is extremely useful for iOS develoeprs working with Unity. This resource is a plugin that allows you to easily create dynamic text using the fonts built in to the platform that you are using.
Here’s an image showing an iPhone and an android device demonstrating text using this library:
You can view the text within the Unity editor, change text attributes, and update text dynamically.
The plugin is Unity Sysfont from Mário Freitas and can be found on Github with further details and documentation.
A very handy plugin to have.
