iOS 5 added new features allowing customization of UIKit components such as buttons programmatically.
Today I came across an open source project that lets you take things one step further with UIButton’s.
The project provides categories extending the UIButton class that uses Core Image to add many different types of filters allowing you to easily change the colors, brightness, shadowing parameters and more of the individual buttons very easily.
Also provided is the capability to adjust the spacing between lines of button text.
The categories were created by Dillion Tan and can be found on Github here.
Included is a nice demo project so you can see how things are done.
