The Flash tools from Adobe are great for creating character animations and is familiar to many designers.
I’ve come across a few tools, and libraries created to import flash assets into Cocos2D iPhone in order to save time laying out and setting up animations, but for the most part they all left quite a bit to be desired.
Today I came across an interesting library that uses a modified version of an exporter known as Grapfrukt that takes Flash assets and exports them into cross-platform solutions taking MovieClip data and turning into XML and animation sheets.
The library is Flash2Cocos2D and allows you to import characters created in Flash, and import them with all animations.
You can find the library on Github here along with detailed instructions describing the workflow, and how to use the assets within your Cocos2D games .
Included with library are complete examples of both Flash projects, and an Xcode project demonstrating the library in action.
I’ve only played with the example so far, but this looks great!
Added to the Cocos2D page.
