Previously I have mentioned the excellent premium level editing tool Levelhelper.
The tool I am mentioning today, CocosBuilder I have mentioned in the past when it was first released, but since that time has undergone a number of improvements and deserves another mention.
Along with the improvements CocosBuilder is now MIT-licensed, and in more recent updates on Github has added Cocos2D v2.0 support so there is no more licensing confusion.
What makes CocosBuilder different from LevelHelper, and other tools that support multiple frameworks is that CocosBuilder is made just for Cocos2D working directly with various types of CCNode’s. This tool is also not specifically for game levels, and has more general uses making it great for other parts of your app such as the main menu.
Here is a video showing Cocos2D builder in action:
It looks like many of the Cocos2D v2 updates have been commited in the last few days which you can find in the latest source on the Github repository here.
You can read more about Cocos2D builder on the official website.
Added to the new Cocos2D resources page.
