I've bought the Programming Objective-C 2 book, it's nice but not so complete, the best i've readen is Learn Objective-C for Java Developers: this book is wonderfull and shows all the aspect of Objective-C (for Mac and iPhone too).

Buy Learn Objective-C for Java Developers instead of Programming Objective-C 2 if you want a full understanding of this language.

[...] My suggestion is to take a look at the examples in the source code, and make the decision yourself if you feel the new book is worth ordering if you already have the first Beginning iPhone Development book. For beginners I absolutely recommend this book once you have a decent understanding of Objective-C. For a look at my favorite iPhone development books please check out my post on the 3 must read iPhone development books. [...]

[...] Make sure you understand your NSStrings, NSIntegers, IBoutlet, and the ternary conditional operator or you could be in for a suprise. If you find the test challenging… well you should probably hit up these Objective-C books. [...]

Hey, it looks like an updated version of the Beginning iPhone Development book, updated to cover iPhone OS 3, is coming out soon - Amazon says July 20 2009! I guess I'll pre-order that for my dead-tree copy! http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-iPhone-Developm...

This is a useful list, thanks - and I agree! I've already been reading Beginning iPhone Development (I'm currently getting access to via the Seattle Public Lbrary's access to Safari, but I think I'm going to buy my own dead tree copy anyway) and own the Developer's Cookbook and Cocoa Programming books, having checked them out before. For sure though, Beginning has been really helpful.
